Marcia & Kris | Engagement Photo Session | The garden hill & Pergola |
Vero J Photography Photography-4.jpg

Having a photo session at the garden hill & pergola in Hampstead is magical and a great little secret garden. It has rich character and many little spaces for a perfect photo. Have you been there before? If you haven’t it’s a must-see. I had the pleasure to met Marcia and Kris who won the engagement competition that I had a little while ago. (There will be another competition coming up in early May so keep your eyes out for it.) We met up and my first comment after Hello was wow I love your dress, the colors of their outfits were on point, well done Marcia. She did a great job with that, it suited the location. Engagement photography sessions are so much fun and you should do one before your big day.

It was a cold morning with a cold wind, I am so pleased that they both were up for it and not backing down on the cold weather and went all-in with a thin dress and just a shirt for Kris. They did so well for being so cold and shivering a bit. We walked through the whole garden and took photos in different spaces to make it more interesting. I wish it would have flowered up a little bit more in the garden but you could tell that it was on the way. Hopefully next time I come it’s more green.

It’s not often I have morning photo sessions, not for an engagement session. We both are mothers so up early every day is nothing unusual so a morning session was easier for them. I love their story that she had a failed marriage and ended up as a single mother to her son. She was brave enough to throw herself into online dating and there he was Kris that took them both under his wings with no doubt and loves them truly. I adore it and it gives me such hope. After recently becoming a single mother of two myself their story made me cry up of happiness that there is hope and love out there. It’s not too late just because I have two children.

The difference between me and Marcia is that she has been brave with online dating and I haven’t been that brave yet. Oh well, one day. That’s the story that made them win the competition of a free engagement session.

I must also say that I could tell how in love they are, they couldn’t stop kissing, I didn’t even have to ask for it they just went for it over and over again. I loved it and the beauty of that they were so comfortable with each other and had some good laughs together was really beautiful to see. Can you see the love through the images? I hope you can. Give me a comment if you enjoyed these photos and if you want to be part of the next competition stay tuned on my Instagram.

The spring is in full swing so if you can’t wait until May then send me an email at info@veroj.com and grab a spot for an engagement session for as little as £95 including all the best photos. I hope to hear from you.

Danielle & Nick | Engagement Photo Session | Covent Garden London | Sneak Peek

Covent Garden is another great spot for your engagement photos, especially now when the blooming season is in full swing. It has many spots to shoot at and also a nice park for a stroll. We had some good chats and laughs. I will tell you more soon, here is a little sneak peek. Let me know what you think.

Ffion & Colin | Engagement Photo Session | London

I could write a whole book about Ffion & Colin, they are a strong couple with a lot of character and loaded with amazing and funny stories. We really clicked and had so much fun during our photo session and zoom calls, we could have been speaking for hours. It’s a great feeling to be clicking with your clients and feel like friends and connect more then just business.

They are a couple who laughs a lot and can joke about almost everything. It was so easy to shoot them due to that they are so close and in love that all they did was hug and chat and I only had to give a few simple instructions for their posing. They did a lot by themselves and I am very sure that their wedding photos will turn out stunning.

Ellen & Joe Engagement Session | Oxford |

I thought that we never would make this session happen, the weather was so bad, windy and a rainy day. We took the chance and risk to make it happen anyway and wow we were lucky and made it happen. I am so blessed and happy that it didn’t rain. Yes it was cloudy and the wind made her legs have goosebumps.

Vero J Photography-75.jpg

Vero J Photography-55.jpg

We were walking the streets of Oxford and found a few places to capture their love in a city that they live in and are studying in. It’s a place close to their hearts and will always be special. Ellen did so great in her heels walking over the bumpy roads and doing what she could to get those perfect images which was amazing. I am so grateful for hearing their love story and getting to know them better. They are a very cute and stable couple who have the whole future ahead of them and I wish them all the luck in the future.

The pose above is one of my favourite poses, imagine yourself on your wedding day in your beautiful dress and your husband is lifting you up and you can give him that passionate kiss and having it all captured is the icing on the cake. Also a great way to show off the shoes you are wearing and making them shine, especially if you are wearing a long dress. Let the shoes stand out for a moment.

Vero J Photography-7.jpg

Vero J Photography-19.jpg

Out of these images which one is your favourite pose? Keep that one in mind for your session.

Ellen and Joe are both vegetarian or should I say Joe is vegan to be 100% correct so we had some good conversations about food and of course their wedding. He told me how his life changed drastically from when he started his new diet and from being sick now healthy and can skip his old medications. How wonderful and I am so blessed to be hearing this story and to believe that what we eat can have a lot to do with our health. I wanted to point out to take care of your health and keep an eye on what you are eating and drinking. Oh well enough about that.

It’s less than a year until they will get married on a little island outside France, named Herm Island. Check it out if you want. It’s a stunning wedding location if you didn’t know about a beach, yes a beach and a church, so romantic and dreamy. I can’t wait for their wedding to happen. They said that the biggest challenge is to find overnight places for all the guests, but if there is a way there is a will so they have solved it by booking a late night boat taxi to take a few guests back to mainland to stay there for the night. How clever of them, I just hope the people that need to catch that boat do, or if not the beach will be your bed for the night, hihi.

Are you planning your wedding abroad? If so please share your story, planning and ideas with me by email to info@veroj.com
I would love to hear it.

Have a great day and Speak soon, stay tuned for more. xx

Laura & Chris | Engagement Photography London | Virginia Water Lake

Yay another full album to post and share with you.

The picnic blanket is laid out on the ground by the water, Laura is wearing her summer hat that gives that perfect look. Chris is putting down their vintage picnic basket with their change of clothes and some grapes and flowers. They sit down and are getting comfortable and chatty, they are sharing the grapes while chatting about their wedding plans. I am there capturing their beautiful moment of love together. The water is like a mirror of the sky with a few ducks swimming around, there are of course a few other people in the park but not that many. The weather is warm but not too hot and it’s just a perfect day for a photo shoot. We can clearly see that here is a lot of love between Laura and Chris and I love it.

Vero J Photography-12.jpg

Laura and Chris are a gorgeous couple with lots of love between each other. We booked in our session for Virginia Water which is a stunning photo location that has a little bit of everything. We met up in the late evening to have the good light, we were lucky to have a blue sky and sun coming and going. We started off with simple poses with the water in the background which came out nice. It’s a good way to loosen up by starting it simple. We had some really good chats and laughs and walked a bit further around the lake and found this little cute open area by the water where we placed a picnic blanket basket and flowers. Laura had 4 outfits with her to change into during or shoot which isn’t normal. It’s more normal that people bring one change of outfit. To be honest it worked out perfectly and she wasn’t shy to go into the bushes and change. I loved that about them that they were so willing to whatever to capture the best images.

Vero J Photography-73.jpg

The picnic style is my favourite especially with her hat that made it perfect. I am very happy with the images and so are they. I can’t wait to be capturing their big day and make some more magical images for them. They are having an outdoor wedding so I am very excited due to that it will give me good lighting. Of course it can be a challenge if the weather isn’t on our side, I am confident that it will be on our side that day and make us have a good time with loads of joy.

Vero J Photography-7.jpg

I love their future plans of going to Australia for a year after their wedding and to see the world and travel around Asia before they settle down, also perfect to enjoy their new marriage. I highly recommend getting married and enjoying your marriage for a little while.

I am glad that you are reading my post and I hope you enjoyed the read and mostly the images. They are once speaking more than my text. I will leave you to enjoy the images and I will move on to retouching some more photos of other happy couples that soon will be married. Keep in touch if you are interested in a session of your own. xx

Sophie & Joshua | Engagement Photo Session | Richmond Park London

The love between this couple is strong and beautiful, they have been struggling to plan their wedding due to the Covid-19 we have been having some good conversation during the lock down regarding venues and wedding planning.

When I met them at Richmond park in London for their engagement they had some good news they have booked their venue. Yay that’s so good and that means the wedding planning have taken a step forward and now time to focus on the next step. It’s so nice to be able to follow someones wedding planning from an early stage and then be able to be part of their wedding and capture everything they planned and put energy, money and time to plan and organise. After the big day when the cake have been eaten the dress been worn and the feet are hurting after all the dancing all you have left is the stunning story telling images that will take you back to your wedding whenever you want to.

I love their casual and easy look, it’s so nice to see when client make sure to wear clothes that they feel good about and also are them. Clothing doesn’t have to be to complicated. Keep that in mind if you are about to have your engagement session done soon.

The future is so bright for this young couple and can’t wait to get to know them better and see their journey. It’s so nice to be able to see other peoples love journeys and also to be part of in the way of capturing it, is magical.

Natasha & Andy | Engagement Session | Holland Park London | Sneak Peek |

Let me share a little sneak peek images with you.

This is Natasha and Andy due to get married next year in November, yes they have chosen November due to all the venues being booked up for next year and also her two brothers are getting married and one of them has chosen July so she didn’t want to have it too close to his wedding. I am sure it will be a cosy and magical wedding with candles and dimmed lights. We had a wonderful session and I love their looks and outfits, they nailed it. The whole session will soon be up for you to read and view.

Sophie & Joshua | Sneak Peek | Engagement Session | Richmond

I had the blessing of meeting up with Sophie & Joshua who are about to get married next year. We met up in Richmond park for an engagement session, it was a cloudy day and we did get a little bit of rain at the end of the shoot, but we made it anyway. They met each other at the university both medical students, they became friends and then fell in love with one and another. They are a very loving and very comfortable with each other and a couple with humour and style. It was a pleasure for me to capture their love and them as engaged and to practice some poses for their big day. I will let you know more about our session when all the images are ready. Keep tuned in and it will soon be here for you to view.

Hannah & Mauro | Engagement Photography | Farnborough |
Vero J Wedding Photography, Wedding Photography London, Wedding Photography UK, Wedding Photographer London, Wedding Photographer UK, Travelling Wedding Photographer, Wedding Portrait Photography Vero J Wedding Photography

Hannah and Mauro were the winner of one of my engagement competitions I had a few months ago. Due to the virus it has taken us a while to make the session happen but finally it did and WOW how good it became.
I am so happy to have had the opportunity to capture their love between each other.

We meet up at a local park from where they live and also the place where Mauro went down on his knee one evening and asked Hannah if she wanted to Marry him and she said YES.
They are getting married next year on valentines day which is beautiful and a blessing for those invited who don't have a partner and now will have a lovely event to attend to. I love their clothing and colours. It worked so well with the blankets I had with me and the little picnic set up.

Hannah was a little shy and told me in advance that she is shy and feel very nervous but WOW she let herself out of her shell after a few short minutes and even got Mauro to go down on his knee one more time to capture what he did a few months earlier and have that documented and remembered not only in mind but also through a storytelling image. Mauro who is used to being in front of the camera was a good support to Hannah and made it flow so well. I am so pleased with what we created and can’t wait for their big wedding day to come.

We walked around the park to shoot at a few different places to get some variety into the images, we ended it all with a picnic, which I love. It’s so nice and relaxed and I had a bottle of champagne with me to let them celebrate their love and capture it. It was a fun time with loads of chatting and laughing. It’s always so nice to get to know new couples and an engagement session is perfect to make the wedding day so much more comfortable and not just for you also for me. It’s easier to start shooting a wedding couple getting ready when you have already met them than before and taken images of them. That way I know what you like and dislike and how you feel regarding being in front of a camera.

I wish them many more happy years together and that their wedding day will be as perfect as they wish for. x

Emily & Gene Engagement Photography London
Vero J Photography Wedding Photography London Uk Travelling Wedding Photographer

Their love story could be a movie, Emily is a hairdresser and Gene one day became her client and they fell in love during their moment they had in the salon and have now 3 beautiful children together. They love city life and are drawn to London and LA. Gene is a lover of movies and theatre and proposed on stage at the Majesty’s Theatre in London just before the show of Phantom of the opera and yes she did say Yes, I do. How romantic isn't that?

With their proposal story we of course had to go to the Majesty Theatre to take some engagement photos to capture where the magic happened. We had so much fun outside the theatre and we laughed a lot. This is a plus with the virus that the streets are a lot more quiet so it makes it a little easier to shoot. I am so thankful that I can go out and capture and create and still keep the distance with help of lenses that make it possible to be far away.

Gene and Emily are such cute couples and you can tell that they have been together for years and they really know each other. Emily is a little more drawn back but with the help and comfort from Gene it became really good and more relaxed. It was her first ever professional photo session so I do understand that she was nervous and it's hard to take directions of posing when you haven't had that done before. I am so proud of her because she did so well and I learned a lot of which poses that suits them the best and what we should keep for their wedding portraits. I am pretty sure that they went home to practice the twirling, hehe we had so much fun twirling and yes it looks so much easier then what it is. The good part was that it's ok to not do it perfectly. It's perfectly fine to be a little stiff and struggle, that's why I am with you to give you the tools and tricks to make it even better and make it look perfect for the image, that's another reason why an engagement session is so important to try poses know what you can practice on at home or what you don't like to do on your big day.

We originally planned to go to Greenwich park but due to the virus and distance we had to rethink and chose Holland park instead. We definitely had the weather on our side, even if the virus is all here and we should be more careful the park was full with people wandering around. We had to stop and wait a few times to let people pass by and to make sure as little people were in the background. I know it can be embarrassing or making you very uncomfortable to be standing there with your partner trying to pose and having people looking and passing by. If you are a person who really dislikes moments like that or aren't a fan to be in the centre I would suggest you to let me know in advance while planning your engagement session or even for your wedding portraits so we can plan a park that is more hidden. For your wedding day be able to plan to go a little further away and also make sure someone that you trust can make sure that no guests are following. These things can make a big change and difference in how you feel which will be a huge difference in the images as well.

Stay safe and keep planning for your big day. x
